Small Cap Gold Mining Stock
Undercovered stock...
Disseminated On Behalf Of Miata Metals Corp.
There is a familiar progression that defines early-stage gold exploration.
First, a company secures land in the right geological setting. Then it drills enough to show that gold is actually there. The final step, and the one most companies struggle with, is securing the capital to test the system at scale.
Miata Metals (TSXV: MMET | OTCQX: MMETF) has now moved through that sequence.
And more importantly, it has reached the point where execution starts to matter more than speculation.
In April 2026, the company graduated to the TSX Venture Exchange. That shift is not cosmetic. It reflects a higher listing standard and opens the door to a broader pool of capital, particularly from investors who do not participate at the CSE level.
At the same time, Miata enters 2026 with a fully funded 25,000 metre drill program already underway.
That combination, capital plus active drilling, is where exploration stories begin to separate.
A Focused Strategy in the Right Location
Miata Metals (TSXV: MMET | OTCQX: MMETF) is operating in Suriname, part of the Guiana Shield, a region that has produced multiple large gold deposits but remains underexplored compared to other major gold belts.
This is not a frontier guess.
Major operators like Newmont and Zijin are already producing gold in the same country. That matters because it confirms the geology works at scale. The system is proven.
Miata has taken a focused approach within that system.
Instead of spreading capital across multiple early-stage assets, the company has concentrated on Sela Creek, building a clear geological model and drilling where results are already validating that model.
At Sela Creek, Jons Trend has emerged as the primary discovery zone, showing both continuity and near-surface mineralization. Importantly, it sits within a larger structural corridor that continues to expand with each round of drilling.
Drill Results Are Defining Scale
Recent drilling has shifted the story from early indication to something more substantial.
At Big Berg, the company reported 96 metres grading 1.41 grams per tonne gold starting near surface. That type of width begins to point toward a larger mineralized system.
Shortly after, at Jons Trend, Miata delivered its highest-grade intercept to date, returning 23.75 metres at 5.73 grams per tonne gold. That result was not isolated, it was drilled 250 metres from the original discovery, extending the system.
These two data points serve different purposes.
One shows that the system has scale. The other shows that it can carry stronger grade.
At the same time, Jons Trend itself has expanded into a defined structural corridor measuring roughly 750 metres in length and 300 metres in width, and it remains open beyond those limits.
That is how a discovery begins to take shape.

A Fully Funded Program With Continuous Data
With capital secured, Miata Metals (TSXV: MMET | OTCQX: MMETF) is now focused on execution.
The company is running a 25,000 metre drill program with two rigs operating simultaneously, more than doubling its drilling pace from the prior year.
This is not a single-target effort.
While Jons Trend continues to be expanded, drilling is also advancing at Big Berg and the Puma area, where prior results have already confirmed mineralization.
The result is a steady flow of data.
Over a short period, the company has delivered its strongest width intercept, its highest-grade intercept, and completed its transition to the TSX Venture Exchange. That combination reflects both technical progress and growing market visibility.
What matters now is continuity.
Drilling is ongoing, and only a small portion of the broader mineralized trend has been tested to date.
The Bottom Line
Miata Metals (TSXV: MMET | OTCQX: MMETF) remains an exploration-stage company, and results will determine how the story develops.
What has changed is the positioning.
The company is funded, actively drilling, and operating within a proven gold system where multiple zones of mineralization are now being defined.
Jons Trend established the presence of gold. Big Berg reinforced the scale. Ongoing drilling is now focused on understanding how far that system extends.
At this stage, the question is no longer whether the project hosts gold.
The question is how large the system becomes as drilling continues.
