HEADLINES
What You Need To Know

Nvidia beat expectations for third-quarter earnings, reporting $35.08 billion in revenue (vs. $33.16 billion expected) and adjusted EPS of 81 cents (vs. 75 cents expected). The company also delivered a strong Q4 forecast, expecting $37.5 billion in sales, up 70% year-over-year.

Trump Media is reportedly in “advanced talks” to acquire cryptocurrency trading firm Bakkt, sending both companies’ stocks soaring. Trump Media, which owns the Truth Social app, jumped 16%, while Bakkt skyrocketed over 162%, triggering multiple trading halts. The deal, if finalized, would expand President-elect Donald Trump’s crypto ventures, following the recent launch of a token with World Liberty Financial.

Gautam Adani, Asia’s second-richest man with a net worth of $85 billion, has been indicted in New York on charges tied to a $250 million bribery and fraud scheme. Prosecutors allege Adani and others paid Indian officials to secure solar energy contracts worth over $2 billion in profits, while misleading U.S. and global investors about compliance with anti-corruption laws.

Comcast is spinning off its cable network channels, including CNBC, MSNBC, and E!, into a new standalone entity called “SpinCo,” the company announced Wednesday. The move, expected to take about a year, will also include networks like Syfy, Golf Channel, and USA, as well as digital properties like Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes. Bravo and Peacock will remain part of NBCUniversal.

The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv closed on Wednesday, citing specific intelligence about a potential significant air attack as tensions with Russia escalate. Embassy staff were instructed to shelter in place, and U.S. citizens in the area were urged to prepare for immediate action if air alerts are issued.

The closure follows heightened tensions after Ukraine reportedly used U.S.-made long-range ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory, drawing sharp criticism from Moscow. In response, Russia updated its nuclear doctrine to include the use of nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states supported by nuclear powers, labeling such actions as joint attacks.

TIP
DOLLAR COST AVERAGE

Trying to time the market? Forget it nobody knows the perfect moment to buy. Instead, dollar-cost averaging is a simple, stress-free strategy. It means investing a fixed amount of money regularly, like every paycheck, no matter what the market is doing. Why does this work? When prices are high, your money buys fewer shares. When prices drop, your money buys more shares. Over time, this averages out the cost of your investments and reduces the risk of buying at a bad time. It’s an easy way to build wealth steadily without the guesswork or anxiety.

TERM
INTRINSIC VALUE

Intrinsic value refers to the true worth of an investment, determined by factors like its cash flow, earnings, and growth potential—not its current market price. For example, if you analyze a stock and calculate its intrinsic value at $100 per share but it’s trading at $80, it might be an opportunity to buy at a discount. Tools like Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis are often used to estimate intrinsic value. Understanding this concept helps investors identify undervalued opportunities and make more informed decisions, especially when markets seem irrational.
